Our relationship with pain is vital for our ability persevere and be successful. We can learn a lot from the ways in which current and former athletes deal with pain. There techniques are different, but both are useful and allow them to continue being successful.
While professional athletes are trained and conditioned to push through their pain, former professional athletes must embrace their pain, and they use it as a signal that something is not right or needs to be addressed.
